I bought mine from the Crosley website, they had a deal for plus for shipping.( they are not going to make this mode anymore but from what I have found out all the internals are the same for most models). The original price was 9 and the cr47 ( 5 shipped) is very similar but it is like a suitcase not wood. The cabinet is very nice and I WAS worried about the sound quality, especially after reading the other reviews. I have a vintage Harmon kardon system that I still use and I am good shape. It 'been better for me, old albums that I got more portable and, if you will, had excellent sound, I'll listen to digital music through my amplifier. This device works well, is strong and clear enough and has a tone control. My kids just love him, but the second he had ever seen was on Barney. Will be ideal for those of you break some old vinyl records for purposes nostaglic. If you want to buy a perfect sound quality of CDs, ordownload the music and put it on your ipod.
